We have rough patches in this place and we argue over how things should be or how we should treat one another but we all know how amazing this community is. A sanctuary where we can come and talk reasonably about our favourite thing in the world as well as a plethora of other topics with a group of intelligent individuals who for the most part want to and do give well thought out responses to each other. You don't have to go far on the internet to realise how much of a gift that is. And that's due to the people who use this place. I mean the fact that we had members like Lethalnezzle, Saoirse, ptaylor, shanespear, tekin or SquishypuffDave (to name but a few) didn't even make the quarter finals is crazy but also an indication of the volume of quality users we have on BEA (and don't get me started on the fact that loveless didn't make the final because I'll be saying 'no homo' every second sentence). And we have great new users joining every day.
Of course the person who deserves the most thanks is one who wan't eligible for this competition because he would have beaten all our asses. I've said it so many times but AM can't be thanked enough. The fact that this site is a one man project is phenomenal and I am astonished and grateful every day he doesn't just throw in the towel and decide BEA is too much effort or expense. So we all know who is the actual BEAU.
Also big thanks to Drakonium for this strange concept that turned out really well in terms of how (for the most part) positive it was in revealing what we appreciate about each other.
So thanks everyone for this high praise but thank you for making this place a great site to waste some time. |
...and Jhereko reminds us once again why he won first place.

which is obviously inaccurate since BEA is neither a social media site or irrelevant but the rest makes sense.
