Black Monk Time by The Monks

First listen. Sounds great so far.

Edit : wow, definitely one of the most unique rock records I've listened to in a long time. I really love it. Some very powerful tracks here. I guess the supposed punk sound is more in the angst than in the music itself, as it's mostly psychedelic. The organs in particular are great and remind me a lot of The Doors.

Love that album.

Ground Zero - Consume Red

So very, very bored.

25 minutes in and something is finally happening! WOOH!

Someone needs to stab that dickhead with the horn.

This is possibly one of my least favourite albums ever.

That's a good one. The entire summer of 2011 for me basically consisted of staying up all night playing Yahoo! Spades, drinking Mountain Dew, and listening to that soundtrack.

Adventure by Television

First listen. The first track has a more conventional sound than what they did on Marquee Moon, but it's excellent nonetheless.

Edit : I don't really understand this albums' ranking. Sure so far it's not even close to Marquee Moon in terms of quality, but it's still way above the average punk record. I'm pretty sure if MM didn't exist, this would be much higher in critics' lists, on this site, and in all this shit. You could argue that actually no one would even remember Television, but considering the role they played in the CBGB scene, I don't think they would be that forgotten. I'm not completely convinced myself but what I'm trying to say anyway, is that this album is far from bad and I don't agree with its reputation.
