Most sensuous voices, by decade

A few minutes ago, I posted the following comment on the Cranberries album "Everybody Else is Doing It Why Can't We": Delores O'Riordan has the most sensual voice of the 90's (not to mention the brogue), and on this album the band shines on every song, playing with coffee-house intimacy while she wails. Bonus list: Most sensuous voices, by decade: 1950's: Connie Francis. 1960's: Leslie Gore. 1970's Karen Carpenter. 1980's Susanna Hoffs. 1990's Delores O'Riorden. 2000's Alicia Keys. 2010's Selena Gomez. It's the second part, the Sensous Voices By Decade, that I think would make an interesting discussion. Most Sensuous Male Voices is also up for grabs. BTW, I'm listening to Selena Gomez's new album as I write this. It's not too bad, but I think she sounds better with The Scene.

I always thought Liz Phair had a really sensuous voice, even though it doesn't really conform to any sort of standard. It's not even good, really.
