No there are a lot of those.

🤣
I had a phase last year where I listened to all his albums. So worth it!
The Transformed Man with covers of Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds and Mr. Tambourine Man, among others, is just hilarious!

And of course this...

Link

Anyway, on topic, this is a fun idea if it works well...

Another approach to this would be listing "Most Over-rated" albums. I once saw a list of "100 Most Boring Classic Albums", can't remember where, but I think Emerson, Lake, and Palmer's first album and All Things Must Pass by George Harrison were in the top 5. I remembered those because I had bought those albums, and only listened to them once or twice (the second time to make sure I hadn't missed whatever was good about them. I hadn't)

Perhaps a Forum Thread on this would be the way to go. It would give people an outlet for frustration of the sort of "How can [album x] be the better than [album y] or, why are there so many albums by [band z] (*cough* Radiohead *cough*) in the top 20?

Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and say let's not have a chart system or a forum thread devoted to bitching about things we wish weren't popular. That's a ridiculous thing to get frustrated over, anyway.

Seconded. all this does is give attention to those things anyway. it's so stupid. If we have music that we think deserves the spotlight more, then the best way to make that happen is to ignore the other stuff and talk about what we like
