Terror Danjah & Champion - Sons of Anarchy EP (2013)

New split/collaborative effort from grime legend Terror Danjah and UK funky producer Champion. I'm listening to the extended MP3 version (as opposed to the four track 12" version, which I may try and get my hands on when I'm a bit less broke), which features two solo cuts each, and two truly collaborative productions. It's banging, built on hard drums and video game synths. I prefer Terror's tunes here to most of the stuff he's put out in the past three years, and Champion's productions are just as entertaining (in fact, 'Bowser's Castle' is probably the highlight of the whole EP, or at least that's my reaction based on this initial listen). Nice little release from the ever-awesome Hyperdub.

This still continues to grow on me. It's my favorite record of the year and the more I listen, the more I am convinced that it's at once the perfect combination of isn't anything/loveless and creating a new sound.
