This, exactly. How a soft-rocker from the 70's like him isn't more famous is beyond me. It's like that, I have not problem with it, it just surprises me. I discovered him very lately myself, thanks to a hip hop fan I know. He was surprised I didn't know his music, and I understand why, now.
Anyway, I'll probably listen to the next few albums then, although it's not a priority 😉

I would recommend, however, that you check out Stand In The Fire. It's the only Zevon live album to feature a full band. He picked up a nobody cover band in Colorado who he caught playing his music, and toured with them right after he got clean. The show is recorded at a small venue (The Roxy in Hollywood), and shows just how much fun a Zevon show could be. The setlist is perfect, and Zevon sounds possessed. The album was never released on CD until 2007, but it was recorded in 1980, between the aforementioned Bad Luck Streak and The Envoy albums. _________________ I'm leaning on the threshold
