Arctic Monkeys - 'AM'

My 2nd listen, I like it a lot so far. I don't know yet what, or why but the songs all work so good together. Though it is so different what they did before.
Next time I'll read the lyrics too, so can't rate the album yet.

Replicas by Tubeway Army

First listen. It's literally dad rock to me, as it was recommended by my dad (a year ago, though... I'm kinda late). It's absolutely fantastic so far. It sounds like Bowie singing on Kraftwerk's music or something like that.

I really look like an asshole these days, I love every new album I listen to, but I've truly never discovered so many great things in so few time (I think ๐Ÿค” ). I need to listen to some mainstream album I could bash so I'll look cool and eclectic.

Bright Like Neon Love by Cut Copy
Finally decided to give this a listen. It's amazing so far, not that I should be surprised about that.

The United States Of America by The United States Of America

First listen. Well I can't claim I love it this time. It's definitely enjoyable and interesting, though. I'll come back to this for sure. Also, I'm only at the second track so far so surprises can still happen.

Edit : I give up, I'm too tired for this kind of psychedelic shit. Bark Psychosis it is (again). Not that I'm particularly in love with Hex, but it just fits a tired mood so well. Also, it's pretty intriguing. It fascinates me. I don't know. There's something. Or maybe that's just because of the catchy as hell piano melody at the beginning.

Today on 'Radio Mancsoulsister' we are dealing with the theme 'Anticipation'

So to kick the day off...

Midnight Shift by Dislocation Dance

I first heard this album due to my friend Jane. It had been deleted from the catalogue (yes that used to happen in the olden days when an album had been out for a while and wasn't selling masses), so getting a copy was nearly impossible. I had to wait 15 years until the album was re-released (and I had to talk to Mr Andy Diagram himself to find that little piece of information out too). I actually danced around my flat when my vinyl copy finally arrived hot off the press.

This is a beautiful jazz infused homage with a post-punk tinge - light and breezy, it's the perfect album to start the day!
