The Best and Worse Album Covers!

The album cover shouldn't affect the quality of music but surely people look at a cover and think similiarly to me and wonder why the band would make such good music under the umbrella of such a crap cover?! However, the other side of it is the album cover you spot and think, "That looks cool" or "I bet this music is gonna be sweet!" and whether it turns out to be or not you remember liking the cover. Of course... I may be alone in this "Judge a Book By It's Cover" thinking but as long as you don't let the cover stop you listening to what it contains then I think it's ok to have an opinion on the matter. RE: 'lust for life' cover - usually photo's/portrait's of just the band/artist are a really bad idea (see the reference to 'The Joshua Tree' above) but with 'lust for life' as has been said you have the back story and when coupled with the album title it's actually, i think, a really nice cover.
