Antics - Interpol (2004)

First listen. Trying to get caught up on AotDs I've missed recently.

Anyway, I can't really stand Interpol. At their best they feel like a cheap Joy Division knockoff, and at their worst it's almost unlistenable. I don't get it.

The Boatman's Call - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds (1997)

First listen. Also the first full Nick Cave album I've heard. I'd heard some of his stuff in the past and had admittedly been underwhelmed by it, but this is quite nice. I'd have to be in the right mood to give it another spin, but it's very pretty.
