Good hardcore rap from France (1991), very influenced by Public Enemy, only more naive and harmless lyrically. Still, the sheer energy of it, coupled with efficient - if somewhat dated possibly - beats, make the whole very listenable in 2013. Good debut.

I'm listening to Henri Dรจs. I have too, because my son is a fan. Henri Dรจs has specialized in singing lullabies/singalong for kids. It's not especially awful, but for late afternoons on end...
Plus I have now to share my listening time between what my son wants and what I want. Which is cool, because my son actually asks for music to be played when he's home. Always a good sign.

I loved him too when I was a kid. A friend had given me a film of one of his concerts, it was surreal to me. That said, after that, I hadn't listened to much music for like ten years ๐คฃ
I think this guy is a traumatizing experience. Or maybe he is so good you don't even see the interest of listening to new music after it ๐ค
I'm loving this Yuck one so far (4 songs in). The guitar is great. And I really enjoyed Thee Oh Sees, too. Thanks a bunch for the recommendations! If you have any more that you think I'd like at any point, let me know. :)
