Both albums are terrific, but in completely different ways. Aphex Twin was quite enjoyable, pleasing songs, nice tunes. Pretty Hate Machine rocked, although it was a little inconsistent, with some tracks much better than others.
As much as I love NIN, "Pretty Hate Machine" is far from their best album. It's good, but not great.
"Selected Ambient Works", however, is phenomenal. It's hard to describe, but it's just an incredible work of sound. I love it. _________________ Progressive Rock
