Ultima Thulée was a total mindfuck for me. I didn't like it at all. I may come back to it someday, but really, right now, it's a pain. Five Leaves Left is stunning.
First, good luck to Ultima Thulée. I actually liked it, and it's on my corresponding year chart, it's an intersting record.
Now of course, this is Five Leaves Left. An amazing debut that has been following me for more than twenty years now. It's the loveliest herbarium of automnal, pastoral folk-pop vignettes you've ever heard. Beautiful guitar melodies enhanced by brilliant chamber arrangements. A cuppa, a bay window on dying trees down your country driveway, a nice fire in your hearth: happiness.
I don't know. O_O I'm always listening to Ultima Thulee to see if I find myself liking it. I've yet to, but for some reason I feel bad voting against it. It seems like it could be so good! But it just isn't so good yet, lol. XD I guess Five Leaves Left, but I'll still be listening to Ultima Thulee periodically to see if I ever find anything there...Well things are there, like monsters and stuff. ;P
