Hm. Alright, it's a close race, but I think I'm gonna go for Illmatic, after all. Both are brilliant, though.

Abstaining. I didn't like either of them enough for it to matter to me who wins, and there is clearly a lot of passion for both albums. Each is clearly a pure example of its genre, but I don't have that much of a preference.

I voted Illmatic. It was an easy decision, but not a very satisfying one. Both albums are on my chart, but Nas is higher.

As much as I love Fresh Fruit, Illmatic is one of my favourite hip-hop albums. It's not as samey as Fresh Fruit and I remember more songs from Illmatic.
Plus I prefer "Life's a Bitch" to "Holiday in Cambodia" so that helps.
