The BEA community genre discovery thread

Okay so here is what this is, we pick a relatively obscure genre(decided by you), then we try and delve deeper into the genre. Basically the idea is that an album needs to be given to go ahead by three users then we add it to the op, a sort of *insert chosen genre name* bible so to speak, the aim is to get as many albums as possible added to the op. We can expand it then into labels, artists, sub genres etc. Would anyone be up for this?

Yes yes freaking yes.
Listening to "The Ascension" by Glenn Branca right now, because not only did Frogger suggest it, it's the top no wave album on RYM. So far, no wave is such a weird genre. 🤣 Don't think I'll like the album a lot, but then again I may need a different album to understand the genre.
