Presenting the Fabulous Ronettes Featuring Veronica by The Ronettes

Second listen. I have to admit, Spector's "Wall of Sound" really makes this album work.

I feel they got sorta ridiculously over the top on that one. Still as a kid that album was cool. I never loved it like "Vulgar Display of Power" or even "Cowboys from hell". I also feel "The Great Southern Trendkill" had a great eerie sound that gives it the edge over this slightly. And "Reinventing the Steel" was an okay ending.

Anyway, your post made me smile cuz I haven't touched this band in years and they were like my idols when I was in early high school.

What do you think?

I actually liked the album A LOT more this time around, but yea I agree it isn't up to the caliber of Vulgar and Cowboys.

Gainsbourg Percussions by Serge Gainsbourg

Trying to follow the lyrics on here:

My Own Role

They have a gorgeous simplicity to them.

Dusty in Memphis by Dusty Springfield

Second listen. I've discovered that yesterday. I guess it was time. It's very good.

Also, I want to listen to Candy Claws now! I'll do it for sure, they seem awesome.

Edit : the Springfield album is better than very good actually. The Windmills Of Your Mind was amazing. Truly great album here.

Glitter by Pasteboard

Really solid Japanese shoegaze, reminds me of Lesser Matters a lot actually, by Radio Dept, which is a really good thing. Thanks for the rec Bong.

Lol that's a hilarious that you did that. I actually took note that that was my least favorite song on the album.
