OK, still haven't made up my mind about Joanna Gruesome. Moving onto another record from this year that I liked but didn't love in the hope that it does more for me this time around.
I usually avoid dark messages, and a lot of people here know that, so I'm not usually a Black Sabbath/Ozzy listener. But I found another BS album without so many dark messages (at least that I've read about): Sabotage. So I'm starting that. Don't think I'll finish it today, but I'm glad there's another Sabbath album that steers away from darkness.
Actually, I might listen to the third album, MOR. I'm not intpo the lyrics for the song "LOTW" at all, because it's a song that can either be viewed as a song about the devil or a song about drugs. But in a sense, iut also talks about how people sin, so I think I'll handle it. Ozzy's a Christian, so I know he doesn't promote satanism.

Sabotage doesn't directly promote satanism, but as with most Sabbath stuff, it questions the notion of "god" throughout the album. _________________

Did you know that the earliest musical instrument (besides questionable though entirely plausible percussion instruments) to have been discovered is a flute thought to be from the Upper Paleolithic era? Of course, Upper Paleolithic man was pagan, or animistic, so music itself is a pagan art form in the truest sense.
Sheesh, Lethal. I didn't know you were such a heathen. Haven't you heard like 1000 albums or something?
jk, Lethal.
Well I choose not to associate with any religion thankfully, but I'd sure have a hard time making peace with my love of music if I were, say, a strict Evangelical Christian who rightfully understood paganism to be revolting blasphemy.
Anyway, currently watching a documentary on Elvis Costello as opposed to listening to an album.
Who cares if the music's about a different religion, I don't get it. I love Sufjan's christian stuff, but in no way am a staunch believer in it. Whatever.
I just finished the new Death Grips and am now onto
