Back in middle school I was into the local south florida emo/hardcore scene since some of my best friends were in a band. After some years of only listening to bands from the 70s I got into the ska-punk scene - I saw streetlight and reel big fish 5 times each and skanked like the skapocalypse was coming.
ska was the most prominent live fixture for me and my friends in the early 00's. most people my age saw reel big fish for their 1st ever gig. I'll be seeing them play with less than jake and zebra head in feb and i can't wait!
