So you meet this genie.....

You're walking along a beach and you find a mysterious old-looking bottle. You pick it up and a genie comes out. He says "I can see, thanks to my phenomenal genie powers, that you love music. So, I am going to grant you one wish. Choose one of the following. -20 albums of your choice, any format "That can be anything from wax cylinders, to vinyl first editions, to MP3" -The top 40 albums by any BEA user, other than yourself, as MP3's. "But you can't peek at their list first." -The top 60 BEA Overall albums as CD's. -The top 250 BEA Overall albums as 8-track tapes, with an 8-track tape player. "I have a lot of eight-track tapes, and I need to get rid of them," explains the genie. -You can go back in time to see any concert ever, but when you come back to your own time, all your albums are gone. "That's where I get my inventory from, you see." What do you do?

I'd ask for infinite wishes.

Screw the system!

Pfuff... Give up my entire record collection for one concert... GET REAL!

Of the options offered, I'd probably take the first one... I have a bunch of stuff I am still hunting for on the Factory catalogue which I could get genie to sort out instead.

More likely I'd tell genie to hop back into the bottle until he can give out some proper wishes instead! 😄

I'd tell him what a stingy little fucker he is.

The genie turns tekin into a Delaware Bay Horseshoe Crab. He keeps the 20 free albums he was going to give tekin, and lets Mancsoulsister pick 20 more instead.

I'd take the concert... and it's not really close. I can always get more music or listen to a subscription service, but how could I pass up the chance to see the Beatles at the Cavern Club or Dylan at Newport. Hell, there are probably over a hundred individual concerts I'd exchange my music for... Miles Davis' original quintet, Woodstock, Coltrane at the Vanguard, the 1938 Count Basie and Chick Webb battle of the bands at the Savoy Ballroom (featuring Ella Fitzgerald vs. Billie Holiday), etc.

Top 60 as CD's. Then sell the ones I don't like on eBay or Craigslist, and buy vinyl versions of the ones I like.
