New albums. Albums that come out to tremendous acclaim and are snatched up like crazy. Once the hype dies down and people realize it really isn't all that great, the album loses its acclaimed status.
Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms instantly springs to mind... It was acclaimed to high heaven when it first came out... Now that the hype is gone, you never hear about it anymore! (Thankfully :))
