For wines, go red or go home IMO. I like super dry and spicy stuff. Mission hills Oculus comes to mind when i think about what would be my favorite bottle. I also really like port. cask aged tawny port is incredible.
For spirits I like smokey bourbons and whiskies (mostly straight)
right now Nikka From the Barrel is my go to whisky
Its really good stuff
For Bourbons lately I have been sipping on this:

But knob creek and bullet are also frequented
And if im trying to get banged up its usually Russian Prince or lambs navy
Oh and fuck white rum (and most spiced rums) _________________ Alt Right meme game on point

Oh I almost forgot, Caipirinhas ! Well, since I'm half Brazilian I cannot not enjoy the greatness of Cachaça !
Pretty expensive when I'm outside, they always mess up the ice and it's not as good as home made.

My dad thinks he's half brazilian too since he went there once, he likes to drink these from time to time. They're grim though they're not even cocktails just pure, not very nice, spirit with some lime and sugar thrown in. I don't enjoy, sorry.

You mean Cachaça doesn't belong to the list of spirit ? Or Caipirinha ? _________________ That's right, I'm an Asshole

Lord I need a drink.
So let's see.
I almost always drink either wine or beer these days, because 1: liquors are expensive (I'm in France so OK wine can come cheap, dunno about you, went to England last year and wouldn't dare try the cheap wine and an OK wine would cost an arm at Tesco's - which is perfectly made up for by the price on beers though, so fair enough) ; 2: some strong liquors don't agree with me at all (e.g. rum makes me sick, period, except if I take it as a Ti punch - that being white rum, cane sugar, lime juice).
Anyway, wine, this is my buying tactics.
1. Go for red. The rules are:
a) anything below 4€ is straight poison and you will lose sight. Avoid.
b) it's possible to find good wine under 6€. However, at this price, avoid Bordeaux by all means. It's poison and you will lose sight.
c) now that I come to think of it, avoid cheap Burgundy as well, particularly "Bourgogne Passetoutgrains". Awful mix of all sorts of leftover grapes from what whatever shitty château couldn't decently put in something called "Bourgogne".
d) In that range of price, Côtes-du-Rhône will never be excellent. but it will never be awful. Play it safe, the bet is good.
e) A good compromise, particularly if you're intending to get drunk on red wine (not such a very good idea but hey it's a free world and anyway I do it all the time, right now I'm going to do it next thing after this post) and are not looking for a perfect match for a senstitive dish, is to go for Loire wines. Anjou for instance. They're light, pleasurable "vins de soif". Careful though, the bottle's quickly empty. Think re-fill.
f) The best red wine I've ever tasted was a Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The best white wine I've ever tasted was a Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
g) No acceptable red wine at your local deale poisone store? OK, then, go white. NEVER ROSE, that shit is poison and you will lose sight.
f) For white wine, go dry. That syrupy thing they seel for Christmas because it's supposed to go well with foie gras is disgusting.
g) MUSCADET people, that's how we swagheads from the West do this. A muscadet and a dozen oysters. All you need really.
2. Can't be bothered now. C ya later, I'm off to the wine shop.

I'd say Cachaca is a spirit, I just don't like Caipirinhas since they're pretty much just pure Cachaca, which I don't particularly like. _________________ Shut up mate you're boring!
