First listen. Pretty interesting industrial hip hop, not unlike Death Grips, but with obvious differences, this one putting more emphasis on the lyrics, with beats still serving a different purpose to those on Death Grips releases (not sure how I'd explain it really). Good album, didn't like the last track.

Second (full) listen. Having been listening to a lot of post-hardcore lately, I can definitely hear how this influenced certain bands in the genre (like Unwound, Drive Like Jehu etc). Great stuff. 85/100

How To Stop Your Brain In An Accident by Future Of The Left
Second full listen. Lyrically terrific, really witty, often hilarious. Maybe slightly disappointed from a musical standpoint. Maybe I just expected something different when I saw this described as "post-hardcore". Liked the bass guitar on some tracks, still... 75/100
Also listened to FKA Twigs' EP2 (excellent release, my favorite EP of the year - listen to it if you're looking for EPs to nominate in the BEAMAs), some Melt-Banana again, reaffirmed my love for Acid Rap (didn't listen to the whole album this time)...
