As a "novel"...not so much. As a concept album, pretty well. As a Pete Townshend solo album, it's about as accessible as he ever got. This album is loaded with some great songs, and it sounds even better today than it did in the 80's. Fine work. _________________ I'm leaning on the threshold

Sometimes I can imagine what it must have been like to be a teenager discovering an album for the very first time, when it first came out. This is one of those albums. I can imagine how this album must have just blown the minds of the kids listening to it in 1969. Great stuff. _________________ I'm leaning on the threshold

She was a side player on the one hit Arrested Development album, then had a big surprise hit with "I Know". Too bad that's all she's remembered for, and too bad she waited 12 years to release her second album. This is a sweet and funky disc. Great sounds, and she has a great voice. _________________ I'm leaning on the threshold

From what I wrote in my comment on my chart:
What I imagine what life would be like in a prestigious academy full of music snobs and fantasy creatures. Naive but very clever lyrics and enjoyable song structures. The first four songs are so damn catchy! _________________
