my second fave hip hop album of last year, behind Acid Rap and among an absolutely fantastic year for the genre; admittedly, I have a soft spot for western-based things. As a fun fact, Jae is on Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder label, which is one of a handful I feel the need to follow these days

First listen. I like this, but I think the tracks where he's trying to sing rock 'n' roll are for the most part inferior to the more orchestral, Sinatra-sounding ones. Still, it's solid, too bad it's slightly inconsistent (and it's a best of!).
