It's like really layered noisey baroque rock. I like it so far, but I was not expecting this after listening to their debut again earlier today. Totally different from Godspeed stuff, it's nice. Also I actually like Menuck's voice, it's not pretty but it's got a snarl to it that fits his ideas.
Well, I was super happy with the new Silver Mt Zion album, I think it's probably the best they've released. Feels less like Godspeed-lite and more like it's own thing these days. Anyways, now listening to
