Still trying to decide if I love this or not. It's definitely better than Pink Flag
EDIT: Meh, this is really aggravating for me. I pretty much love everything up through "I Am the Fly" and then the last 4 tracks just don't do much of anything for me. I mean, I don't dislike them, I'm just not sure I get them. I'll probably give it another go soon since I love the first half so much.
"The first Mythos LP was released in 1972, on the legendary 'Krautrock' label Ohr. On 'Mythos' the band realized a mixture of art rock and psychedelic with oriental influences in lengthy pieces. Stephan Kaske played the melody from Hรคndel's 'Fireworks Music' on the flute in a rockmeets-classic version. 'Oriental Journey-Hero's Death' creates a psychedelic mood with sitar and mellotron sounds. 'Encyclopedia Terrae', which takes up the entire second side, is the highlight of the album and features powerful drums meeting up with peaceful sequences, sounds of warfare such as detonating bombs and marching soldiers meeting up with hard guitar riffs. This debut album instantly became a classic in the Krautrock-genre." (wikipedia) _________________ "And canโt you see youโre in on it?

Second listen. It's as good, if not better than his debut, and that means it's excellent. This guy wills be my favorite folk artist of the 21st century if it wasn't for The Tallest Man On Earth.
Oh, since our tastes are pretty similar to an extent (I think), I'd like to hear your thoughts about that one.
It was pretty good, I guess. It never sounded dull, but at the same time nothing ever really made me stop and listen harder. For a pop record it felt like it lacked some solid pop hooks. Beyonce really sells the album though, and her personality really shines through her performance. From what people were saying, I was expecting a whole lot more, I felt it just managed to sustain a mood, but fortunately never did anything too offensive or gimmicky. Solid, but far from groundbreaking, nice background music. I'll give it another listen but for now, 70/100.

This is actually pretty cool, I'm not sure I can expect much more than that myself. Eh, I'll see. Thanks a lot anyway! ๐
