Either I'm looking for stuff I'm familiar with, in which case I enjoy charts which have things I already know and enjoy and stuff I don't know to listen to; or I'm looking for stuff I'm not familiar with, in which case I'll go to users renowned for that type/genre/branch of music.

You're a decent person. 😄 When I was starting with music I would go amazon user charts to get ideas like such. Then I would go to HMV and buy loads of CDs I hadn't heard before.
I now have the ability to make year charts now! I will wait until I get at least 10 entries per year before I can actually make them, but I have already compiled a 2014 chart. It may be small at the moment, but it will evolve, somehow. _________________
50 Artists I like and the best compilation to get into the artist with. If you see any artist from my big chart you want to start listening to come right to this chart first. Will find 50 more later. Might even write some notes.
I would be grateful if you told me choices you don't think I have put the best compliation, greatest hits or singles collection for. I'll defend them and if you make a better case I will change. So yeah, I would like criticism here. I have gone for 1 & 2 CD collections on vast majority as I don't want people drowning in the artists music. Plus I am keeping in check the cost and how easy the albums are to find.
