First listen. Started off great, but then they decided to put fucking Wet Host in the middle of the record to kill everything they had built. Lost attention after it. Will re-listen anyway, just a bit sad, though.
Yeah, I don't enjoy Wet Host that much either, but don't stop listening. The last track is killer.

This was roughly my thoughts, though I didn't really care for it from the get-go. But "Wet Host" brought it down from an inoffensive, albeit bland, indie pop record to just an obnoxious listen. And the weird part is that I probably would've liked "Wet Host" on an album where it actually fit. This was no such album. It was experimentalism for experimentalism's sake on an album where there was no room for that sort of thing.
Goodsir's right, though, the last track is quite good.
Great band. Have you heard their album Teenage Head?
Excellent album - City Lights is one of my favorite songs. 😁
