Commenting on other people's charts.

Yeh, I hate rating charts. If a particular user or chart has greatly enhanced my tiger experience, I will sometimes thank them with a high rating and a nice comment, but mostly I just leave it be. As mecca said recently, pretty much all of the albums we discuss here and which appear on charts are "great" in any reasonable intersubjective sense, so acting as if a discrepancy from my taste represents some kind of valid criticism seems pretty absurd.

I like to see chart notes, though.

Small comments are fine. I make sure that my comments are encouraging in one way or another - it is after all the music that the chart owner likes. Usually I take a rather detailed look of the chart. If I find any of my favorite albums, I make a note of that in the comment.

I want long in-depth comments on my charts, I get excited everytime I get a comment, always comment....I'm not good at giving them but I try to comment on most of the charts I rate...

I find this a problem too. I don't want to give criticism. It takes a lot of effort to think up something.
