That entirely depends on which album you listen to. I'm not particularly a fan of his work in general, but I have to give him credit for producing such a varied body of work over the course of his career.
I'm not really a fan of Animal Collective, though this is certainly better than both MPP and Strawberry Jam. I just don't find their music very exciting. There are some sections of songs that are really good, but then they just put in a section that is really quite boring- putting them back to square one.
