i feel compelled to say that poe is a severely underrated music artist and that this album is equally underrated, not just at BEA but in general. She was ahead of her time adding r&b samples to alternative rock songs, experimenting in dj sampling and dance-music tropes within her alt rock sound. She was a bit ahead of her time. It's a pity she had horrible luck in her recording contract, basically prohibited from releasing any new albums between ~2001 and 2012 (and she still hasn't). I can only wonder what type of career she would've had if this album received any sort of promotion.. Tragic industry luck.
