I actually hadn't listened to any Bauhaus before this. Kinda wish I'd done so sooner now. Reminds me of a less abrasive and slowed down Scratch Acid. I think I'll check out In The Flat Field later. Great rec, thanks.

I apologize for whatever I've done to deserve that. _________________ "Drink beer, smoke pot, and create something that will storm heaven. That's all I ever really cared about." - Ron House

Also, mecca, what did you think of my rec for you from forever ago?
Hey Ben, I totally missed it when you posted. Sorry about that. That said, I'm a longtime King Missile fan. Haven't listened to that record in a couple years, but I remember liking it. Maybe not as much as the earlier records, but there were a few really funny ones.
Lethal, Quelle Chris was fantastic on first listen. The jazzy bass really stood out for me. The entire record sound like a fun Madlib production. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com
Never reviewed this, can't say I enjoyed it though. It sounds like boring alt-rock (very ballad-y at times) with a few harsh-vocals, metal-riffs, atmospheric touches -- as if trying to sound more dramatic/meaningful, but instead they all made it sound sillier to me. The irritating unconvincing kind of melodramatic. There was the occasional okay sounding riff, but thats about it.
Antonio, your chart notes are the most genuine and some of the best I've ever read. As a result, take an album that I genuinely love more than most albums, an album that just feels genuine to me:
I was going to give you 1st Day In by The Charlie Nobles but since it's in the 1500+ tourney, I figured that could wait :)
Ok so I looked to the artwork and thought... It must be a new album from an old jazz band that are making covers of great hits of 1960
And when I listened.... Wow
It's a kind of Hip-pop, It has some rap in the beginning and then becomes a little poppy... I liked it.. not so much, but better than what I expected
By the way Guns for hands is my favorite..
I thought I'd enjoy this a lot more than I did, it looks like my cup of tea, and I feel I'm missing something. There were a few good songs, but mostly it didn't really grab my atention, it felt a little monotonous for what I expected.
Shouldn't Antonio's album be for benpaco since he was the last to post an album before him, or am I wrong?
You're right.
