Under-rated post-punk from Australia. The compilations of Tactics' work are probably too much for some so digest this debut first before going onto the rest.

Have you heard any of Sam Prekop's solo material? I might actually like it more than The Sea and Cake.
Hey meccalecca, no - I haven't... Put it down on my listening queue though. Thanks! 😄 _________________ "And can’t you see you’re in on it?

Before Infinity (before Steve Perry), Journey was a low rent Santana spinoff that was going nowhere fast. This album changed all of that. It's the one Journey album that sits between the boring pre Perry era and the we'll do anything for a gazillion dollars of everything afterwards. For me, the best and most honest Journey album.

Exceptional compilation of the early years of Son Volt. Great rarities, B-sides, album tracks, and a great view of what makes Son Volt such a great band. If you're looking to get into alt country, this would be one of the albums I would suggest as a starting point.

I'm still trying to figure out if the buzz around BEA for Talk Talk is justified or not. This was another synth pop band with the hair to match in the 80's, and their one hit, a self titled song, was a decent but nowhere near groundbreaking or lasting track (who really remembers it today?). Then, apparently, they went prog. I've never known anyone outside of BEA who thinks much of them...so I'm checking it out. We'll see how this grows on me.
