I don't know if there's an upcoming concerts thread, but I'm going to see Prince on Thursday, Action Bronson on Friday, Courtney Barnett on Sunday, and then - in no order, over the coming months - Acid Mother's Temple, Angel Olsen, Parquet Courts, Freddie Gibbs, and hopefully one of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, Ennio Morricone, and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan (the latter three are expensive, so it's looking like a case of picking one, having already had to rule out George Benson on the basis that I can't afford it; leaning towards Rahat at the moment). Seems to be a spate of great gigs coming up in Birmingham. Martin Stephenson & The Daintees are playing tonight too, but I've got to be up for work at 6am and thus intend on getting an early night. But it's nice to have such a great selection of artists coming to the area.
Lydia Loveless. She's touring to support this year's Somewhere Else, which I love (currently #4 on on 2014 list). She's great live, easily matching the output on the record. The backing band was louder in the mix, as is typical with live shows, and I liked being able to hear the upright bass and pedal steel so clearly. I definitely recommend catching their show if you're into the album.
I forgot to post this after the concert, but I went to see Arcade Fire during their Reflektor tour (couple of months ago - March 12th, to be exact), when they came back to Pittsburgh for the first time since 2004. What a show! Best concert I've ever experienced! To feel the energy of the crowd circulating into you and into the performers, and to be in good company while doing so is the best of feelings! I went with one of my best friends! ๐ _________________ <--suddenly...Bora!

So I saw Panda Bear last night, and it was really incredible!! The main set was entirely new material and all of it was good, plus it was really eclectic. The encore was a few songs from Tomboy.
I know this will sound cheesy/pretentious, but I honestly feel like I understand Panda Bear in a totally new way now. Like the music was so... engulfing. Really recommend seeing him if you get the chance. _________________ My top songs of the 2010s

Went to Disclosure on march 10. Great concert, powerful songs and even if it's a preloaded set they succeed in creating kind of an alchemy between both of them and to add something more from simply putting the album on a CD Player.
