that's really a good review, thanx!
I have just one king crimson's' album

"In The Wake Of Poseidon" and I don't like it so much, I will try with "islands" but I want to try also "In The Court Of The Crimson King", all the world here have that album in their chart and I'm just curious!

.. Really? Absolutely, you MUST start listening to King Crimson immediately, because they are my favourite band! ๐Ÿ˜œ

Anyway, you'd better start with "In the Court.." if you'r not familiar with them yet. It's on everyone's chart because it's a big classic, but not in a pompous way, as it's still delicate. Also, it's their most accessible, I think, at least from the classic era. And it's quite important historically, too, though I think "Red" is even more important. Anyway, start with "In the Court". It's an album impossible to dislike! ๐Ÿ˜

I also like very much "In the Wake". Well, I like all their album, so it's not very relevant. ๐Ÿคฃ
But I think some albums by them are better. "In the Wake" is great but it has its weacknesses: a lot of space is taken by little songs (made from a single idea), "The Devil's Triangle" is interesting but really too long and not very dynamic, "Pictures of a City" is a great song but it's like a bad copy of "21th Century Schizoid Man" (from "In the Court"), and overall the album is too much similar to their debut, without reaching the same level of intuition and dramaticity. It's still my opinion, though.

 you should come here more often, Nick

Like RM said, everyone here enjoys these exchanges between you two, so each time I do, I feel like I am intervening...here we go again... ๐Ÿคฃ Btw, since you guys are discussing King Crimson, there's plenty of good progressive rock that came from Italy back in the 70's, one such band being Area, with a Greek frontman (Efstratios Dimitriou or the way you guys know him Demetrio Stratos)...

I only know well Le Orme (I like them but they often seem to be just a mix of ELP and Yes, I came to know them thanks to my ex gf), and PFM (pretty famous indeed). I'll prob get soon into Area (they're high on Pa's chart so I can go safe, plus Nick is recomending them now), Banco del Mutuo Soccorso (very curious about them, mostly because of the sax) and Stormy Six (part of RIO, their frontman became a great music critic after). Never heard of those that Gowie put here. Never even heard talking about them, and I'm italian. ๐Ÿคฃ Any info? ๐Ÿ˜„

I love Area, I think "Crac" is pretty nice, but I definitely dig into "1978 gli dei se ne vanno, gli arrabbiati restano!" and "Arbeit Macht Frei" and "Maledetti (maudits)" too !! ๐Ÿ˜

yes you should try them, Demetrio Stratos was such an amazing singer...

Listened to all the albums in the Pearl jam discog. I can say their self titled is worth a listen if you heard all the other Pearl Jam albums. Like if your jam is pearl get on it.

I used to listen to Pearl Jam a lot before, but I never bumped into "Pearl Jam" album I guess you mean this one:

I don't know why but the album that I used to listen more is:
"Live on two legs"...pretty nice tracklist actually.
but I know that not all the people like live album.

I will try with their self titled soon...after "In the court of..." by king crimson!

Ok, and if you have time let me know what you think of the other bands I said, if you already heard them.
