This again. Shout out to skinny for the original rec via his old chart. This thing is just fucking perfection! Specifically, I'd take "When You Were Mine" over basically every song ever written or recorded. It's basically te most perfect pop song ever made.
Agreed! Have you ever heard Mitch Ryder's version from 1983? Produced by John Mellencamp trying to get Ryder a comeback. I can't find the video.
Itโs not complicated! Sometimes slower is better. Finishing the work that Black Flagโs My War and Flipperโs Album started, Bleach and company turned both metal and hardcore underground on its head by making SLOW the new fast. Combining the detuned riffage of Sabbath with 80s we-donโt give-two-fucks hardcore attitude, Bleach lumbers, falters and squeals like a p-st-off mastodonian raging through a tarpit. The Nevermind the Bullocks of metal, Bleach showed that you didnโt have to have the technical chops of Yngwie Malmsteen, wear clothes destined for the local Hot Topic or have a cover shot of Satan eating a baby to be metal. If I had to pick one album from grunge to throw up on the wall and point & beam & cry out - THIS IS WHAT GRUNGE SOUNDED LIKE in all its detuned, feedback laden squalls of a cow-in-a-blender glory, it would be this.
edit: I totally burnt my oatmeal as i got lost in writing this. Guess I really do need that burrito! LOL.

An archival release comprising everything Toop has recorded for the Sub Rosa label between 1996 and 2003. Expect avant-garde ambient and electro-acoustic type of research.
Interesting album. You can't help but think of Phish or Primus because of the two guys singing but the music doesn't necessarily sound like either of those bands. It has a few good songs, worth checking out if you are a fan of any of the members.
