Interesting... I'll have to check out some of their other records. I would think Big Star, but then I guess they only had two records that were strictly power pop.

First time in a very long time I've had a really focused listen to it. It is a great album, their best for sure. But after all these Cure albums and this rainy weather we are having, I need to lighten the mood!

Teenage Fanclub has no shame in its blatant worship of Big Star. even calling their fourth album Thirteen. I like Bandwagonesque to a point, but they come across almost like a Big Star tribute band...meaning that there isn't really a whole lot original about them. They do it well, but I think they would be better with their own identity, rather than extending someone elses.
