The sad thing is... I like this album and don't want to see it out of the tourney 🙁 It's one of my favs
I'll definitely check it out again knowing that both you & RockyRacoon love it. I almost never trust my first listen on an album. They sound like well adjusted young men. Usually that doesn't bode well for their music. 🤣Artists must suffer. LOL.

The problem (for me) is that Shaimus doesn't feel like it has any sort of identity as this sort of "by the numbers" soundscape seems fairly safe which can work in some cases but it doesn't really grasp by interest for very long. It makes me remember other music friends I've had in the past who obsessed over bands like AWOL Nation, Ours, and so forth which do about the same for me (actually I think Ours is a lot better than I originally gave them credit for four years ago).
