Been watching the Italian art house classic L'Avventura this week. Seemed like a pretty absurd premise to me but wanted your guys opinion if you've seen it. It's worth watching for Monica Vitti alone. And the ending was fantastic.

I've watched L'avventura and I fought hard to not fall asleep in the first part..ehm anyway after that it was a bit more thrilling but as you say it's worth watching for Monica Vitti alone!

Yeah. That one scene in particular totally creeped me out. Masterfully done as their was palpable foreboding and menace in the air. Besides the ending, that was likely the most emotionally triggering scene in the entire movie.

I hate all those italian recent "artists" who still do this kind of music decades after, and still they are the only ones appreciated here. This is shameful.
I also hate all those italian new "indie" bands who (in the majority of cases) do more or less the same kind of music, and they are appreciated by italian hipsters only because they call themselves "indie" and take themselves very very seriously.
I like only a very little of the italian music I know. But I'll keep searching to discover someone I can love.
