The Atlantic was born today and I'll tell you how...
The clouds above opened up and let it out.
I was standing on the surface of a perforated sphere
When the water filled every hole.
And thousands upon thousands made an ocean,
Making islands where no island should go.
the time has come,
my personal & italian Thanksgiving Day for the recs that I received since when I started to graze here in bea..
thanks to:
Gowie: Evile, Fjørt; FEM Prog Band

I've decided to not add these recs on my Top 100 Greatest Music Albums (with the exception of Nils Frahm!), but I've chosen my "old friends" that I've discovered traveling and during my personal researches.
and I've added all the other recs on my "year and decade chart".
I'm so grateful to you, these recs are going along with me like special friends...

NickVolos: Slowdive

PauloPaz: Olhos De Mongol
here in my island, sardegna, when the clouds are coming from Africa it rains water and sand, red sand from Sahara.
Scirocco is the wind that brings this sand and waves, heat, dampness are going along with it.
wait. why am I speaking about Sardegna?
ah yes..'cause I'm tired to clean my balconies, this sand is pretty sticky actually! 😁
anyway I want to speak about Anouar Brahem; he's a tunisian oud player.
Construction of the oud is similar to that of the lute, a stringed instrument used in Arabic, Greek, Turkish, Persian, Jewish North African.
Anouar Brahem fuses jazz with folk music and arab classic music.
I've chosen

The Astounding Eyes Of Rita by Anouar Brahem since the very first day here in bea, it has always been with me, on my first chart.
impressions and words about The Astounding Eyes of Rita: peace, stillness, hope, a vast & infinite space, opening...love!
I could listen to it all day and still love it.
I think that this kind of instruments have a special influence in our mind, is like if they keep it quiet.
I've discovered Brahem while travelling in Tuscany, I went to visit a friend and while I was futzing around in her pc I've found a carpet with many carpets inside...tons of recs!
I wish you could listen to this album soon, it has a special place in my heart...
