Any recommendation for a maximalist album? Like, a dense album with a ton of detail. Like, you could tell the people that made/produced the album are absolute perfectionists.
This is the general sound of early Tarwater (11/6 12/10, Silur), and some English post rock bands like Laika and maybe Pram (all of which have vocals). Jessamine is an American post rock band that fits into a similar category. And then when it comes to gritty, great electronica inspired by Portishead, my mind goes to Burial and Andy Stott. IDK what you're looking for exactly, but these are all great regardless.
