PS I read my first John Green book this trip (Looking For Alaska) and it was not as bad as I thought though the ending just became some way for him to throw away every possible moral or point to be made from the book and replace it with his own odd religious something. That said, weird book for the fact that Pudge says things I've said word for word, and Alaska is a multiple personality disorder version of 2 of my 3 favorite people in the universe, she says things both of them do and snaps between the two of them. Weird.
PPS (Y'all will enjoy this more that was just backstory) My ex was a HUGE John Green fan, even bought a used shirt of his brothers' (yeah I really should've known stuff might not work out early on), and had been urging me to read john green for some time. She messaged and I realized I could just tell her I'd read looking for alaska and she'd probably just ignore everything else going on, plus it's less rude than ignoring her entirely. So I told her I read it and it was actually alright, and she just told me that she doesn't like John Green since we broke up.
John Green literally only appeals to teenage girls that have such romantic views of the world they expect to never get broken up with.
