They say that it's an album of "mainly ambient and instrumental music". Pink Floyd are my joint favourite band, but I am fearful for how this album's gonna turn out. It's not really new (being Division Bell outtakes) and it's not really Pink Floyd either (David and Nick being the only living members involved). Watch this be either incredible or terrible.

Or great, good, average, mediocre, poor, awful, or somewhere else on the scales of quality. It could literally be anything. No-one knows.

It's not actually outtakes. It's based on music that was recorded during The Division Bell, and that was almost released at one point separately of that album. But not outtakes. And because the album is built on tracks that were originally recorded with Richard Wright, the album does, in fact, feature the same lineup Pink Floyd had since the departure of Waters.

Exactly this. I'm actually looking forward to this. Ambient noodling from Pink Floyd has got to be better than the Division Bell was.

Yes, but at least some of the dead members are involved, as well.

Hahaha, I can already hear the dadrockers : "sure it's not as good as Dark Side or The Wall, but trust me son it's still far better than all the shit kids listen to these days"

My dad is never like that actually. He never complains about modern pop but I know he does not like it one bit.

He's always criticizing albums no matter what, especially if they're new ones from bands he likes. I'm almost positive he'd shoot down this album if he heard it on its release.

I'm sorry but I'm predicting this is going to flop.
