I've added in that chart my wish/list albums, albums that I've found in movies soundtrack, Allmusic, Pitchfork and Bandcamp.

I would like to share something about one of my fav bands from recent days: Hella.
Not something about an album, but about them in general. For life and death of the band, look wiki. I'm here to say something about their music and I'll pick their best achievements, not even all their albums or EPs cause they did something forgettable, too.
Well, I think Hella are one of the most brilliant rock bands out these days. They rock hard, they hit everyone, and they manage to keep a very original style at the same time. They don't sound monotone, they sound fresh and original instead, but they don't take themselves much seriously.
Their first full album is "Hold Your Horse Is" (2002), still one of my fav albums of all time. It may seem nothing very special at first, but it has become an usual listening for me, cause it never gets me tired. It shows a style based on rhymic experimentation (unusual, intricate rhytms) and with some guitar riffs over. These riffs always change and rennovate. There are pauses, frequent rhytmical changes, etc.. All in all, a style that falls under the "math rock" label. The whole thing keeps easy-going and fast. The mood depends on the song but overall it's somehow happy and reminds of everyday life. It's very funny, fresh and original.. that's enough, right? 😁

After that debut, they decided to have a change, they started to use instruments never used before, like synth and drum machine, and started to think about something a bit more experimental. This brought to their next release, "The Devil Isn't Red" (2004). It's another wonderful album, but a bit more difficult. Rhytms often don't follow guitar lines, there are less riffs, more repeated sounds but more dissonant and intricate. The best track is "Hello Great Architects of the Universe", or maybe i'm saying that because I'm an Architecture student, ahah. Another great track is "Brown Medal 2003", a sort of an experimental remake of the "Brown Metal" song of the debut. I think they lost some of their energy with this album, but it's still a wonderful album, and someone could even appreciate this more than their debut.

Then they fully went experimental with "Church Gone Wild/Chirpin Hard", a double solo album. The first one is by the drummer Zach Hill, and it goes into noisy territories. The second is by the guitar player Spencer Seim, and it mixes 8-bit Nintendo music with math rock. It's interesting and definetely worth listening, but I think they are not excellent in doing this kind of stuff, or maybe I'm just not enough into it. Anyway, it's not the album I feel I like to listen from them. But it's still interesting.

"There's No 666 in Outer Space" is a forgettable album, I think, or maybe I have to listen more to it, cause I've heard it only once by now.
The last album, "Tripper" (2011) is another shiny gem. It's pretty different from the debut, but, instead of going experimental like in "The Devil.." they keep the rhytmic experimentation with guitar work over, trying to make something different. It's harder and goes pretty much into noise rock territories. Also, it features electronic effects which don't prevail on the drum-guitar set, but they add a special touch on some songs. The riffs are not anymore well defined like in the debut: here the sounds are all put together to build a noisy wall. This wall, though, still creates new and new themes, which chase each other through the songs.
