Thank you for this, this was such a weird but such an interesting album. I couldn't help but be captivated by it. The use of different scales (perhaps arabic scales? Sounded somewhat like that) really made for an interesting, different musical perspective. I'd love to listen to this album high.
Well I thought you remembered that I liked Cro and were shooting me another german hip hop artist. No. Not terribly far off, but not german ... anyways, this was pretty good, though not life changing by any means. Liked the Buck 65 collab, but that shouldn't really surprise anyone too much. Overall, it was pretty alright, but not a GREAT album, I guess.
Anyways, here's something that's nothing like hip-hop for you:
This was absolutely lovely. I went in a little unsure; at first I felt like I was being reminded of a bunch of indie pop/rock 2000s band but not standing out from any of them, but very soon what began as mild pleasantries developed into something that felt really genuine. It's like I feel completely nostalgic about this album despite having never heard it before this. Those last three track are particularly wonderful and personal. Harold & Maude! I don't suppose you remembered I adore that movie? Regardless I couldn't help but smile at that song with sentimentality. Haha and that last track was like Moldy Peaches/Kimya Dawson level quirky ๐คฃ . I like quirky. I really enjoyed this. Thanks Ben
Alright looks like I'm sending something back your way. Try this

Oh I'm really glad you like it. It is a little overly cutesy at times, which would be my only real knock on it, but like you I love Harold and Maude (both the movie and the track) and I feel it closes super strong where it opens a little more general.
Also I'm going to admit I've heard that album before BUT I don't think I've heard it in a single sitting in about 4 years. So I'm going to check it out as really I only recall Welcome Home, Son and Glory. None of the other song titles even look familiar at all. Gonna stop this from just being a rec circle tho and listen to this, I'll post a review here, but I'll let someone else choose your next album. _________________
This was fucking great. Saxophone based drone. I feel like I've been waiting for this my whole life and I just didn't know it. Plus there were additional production quirks beyond simple brass section droning that kept the whole thing interesting and didn't wear out as gimmicky as I thought it eventually would. Thanks Nech
Alright, so back to Nech I guess. Have you already heard?
