Probably the most psychedelic album I've heard all year. If you're interested in hearing minimal, droning, cosmic jams that actually attempt to replicate the feeling of being stoned as fuck, this is for you. This album feels a bit like when you try to keep your eyes open for too long, and they start to water without your permission to stop themselves from drying out, but you're just determined to keep them open to see how long you can go without blinking, like you're testing your body's resistance for no real reason other than boredom or human curiosity. But yeah, listen to it. It's fucking great. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.
I was on turntable.fm back in the day, and somebody was a Tom Petty fan and I showed them that and they fell in love with that record. /storytime
I love Rainy Day Music, it's such a special record that combines the best of alt-country canon with the Tom Petty and Neil Young influence of old.
Yeah, I saw u listening to this yesterday, and then seeing that Romanelli has it ranked ABOVE the alt.country classic that is Tomorrow the Green Grass, figured that I needed to give it a spin. Great stuff. I'll listen to it it a few more times this week most likely.
Meanwhile I'm checking this out courtesy of Silver...
