What do you mean? We are the last bastion of good solid rock & roll. The grandchildren of all these people will thank us after they have been stuffed with Neutral Milk Hotel, Beach House and Radiohead to the point where they are ready to kill themselves. Then, when they think all hope is lost, someone will play them a song by The Allman Brothers or Bob Seger and they will realize that life is worth living after all.

This is what you keep coming back to and it is either an accusation or beside the point. In the event that it is the former I just wish to say that not going head over heels about every band from the last few years is not the same thing as being stuck. Personally, I have so far rated 831 albums. 369 of these I consider very good. Those 369 albums include records released from 1955 to 2010 (48 of them were released during the last 10 years) and they include everything from straight rock, through alternative, country, blues, r&b, jazz and that rather wide genre sometimes called world music (there's even one rap album although it is rare that I enjoy those). Not liking atonal electro-rock with depressing lyrics is not the same thing as being stuck.
Without it being explicitly stated I believe we agree on the musical influencing of grandchildren though. The best thing one can do is make sure they get the opportunity to listen to ALL of it and make their own decisions on what they like from there.
