I have seen people commenting on the internet that this mixtape and its creators (primarily Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan) are signs that the death of hip-hop is imminent, which obviously means that it's brilliant. Quite possibly the best hip-hop album of the year, besides Pinata. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.
The songwriting is not on par with the ambitions. It's not bad by any mean, but I struggle to see how it's supposed to be a lost Forever Changes / Sgt. Peppers / Odessey & Oracle / masterpiece. I'd literally take any song off any of those three records (bar maybe Good Morning Good Morning haha) over S.F. Sorrow. An empty album 😕
This is more like it! I like when my psych pop is either bursting with colors and life, or simple and delicate. This belongs to the latter category, and also to my favorites 60s records :3
