Love your album choices. Especially glad that you dig Hallowed Ground - one of my all time faves. :D
I believe it was you who lead me to listening to The Clean. It's only taken me 6 months! xD
However, I found that the Vehicle album was fantastic whereas the Boodle Boodle Boodle EP wasn't quite up to that quality. And, yeah, Hallowed Ground was really enjoyable!

if your ULL had a poll I would vote "your taste is bad and you should feel bad". Good work in being awful suedeswede.
jk this is really cool, continue with the great work,I'm jealous of the notes in souvlaki they are so cute, and lovely...btw I hate your taste
So I finished this a couple of hours ago. My thoughts were basically showcased on the listening thread:

Okay what didn't I like in this originally?

"Hey there Ol' SuedeSwede! What don't you like about Kurr?"
"It's not even got crescendos in it, grr, and what the fuck is this it sounds like Minecraft music for pussies and ughhhh it's not even got lyrics what's that all about?"
*pukes*
*transports back to current day*
Was I really like that?
Apparently.
Except after finishing the entire album, I wouldn't just puke at Ol' SuedeSwede, I'd dispute with him!
"How can you deny that this album's incredible choice of instrumentation all creates such a concise soundscape - it's like watching something being painted - the grass, then the trees, then the water, then the sun, it's all so pure - how can you pigeonhole this all into "Minecraft music for pussies", Ol' SuedeSwede?"
"Fuck you and your pretentious shit I want lyrics not soundscapes!"
"But there is lyrics in this"
"Yeah but they're in Icelandic and you're only allowed to do that if you're Sigur Ros or Bjork"
"We're here with Ol' SuedeSwede once again, so Mr. Ol', what exactly didn't you like about this one?"
"Boring"
"How is it boring? Were you even listening? Were you even paying attention to what this has going on, Ol'!?!?"
"Dunno"
"Well I suggest when you mature a little you should give it another listen, then maybe you'll understand the chilling nature to this, the haunting feeling to every hush that Emily Kokal pours out from the mouth of hers straight into your ears, forcing you to grow another spine just so it can chill that other one too. The low-key, but also often upbeat feel it has to it all, the trancing instrumentation that just surrounds your brain. Maybe one day."
Not necessarily listening to an album but finishing the night off with some bubblegum bass singles. This list will be updated regularly: Bubblegum Bass Singles
First listens tonight:
QT - Hey QT
A.G. Cook - Keri Baby
Sophie - Bipp / Elle
This is going to be a genre I get in-depth into, so I'll be bulk-posting with some singles I've listened to maybe every day, depending on how regularly I'm listening to these singles. Most likely cover some mixes in the course of the ULL too. Anyway, this stuff is creating the smiles right now. And it's 2am. Maybe should get some sleep. _________________
Wow, this one was incredible. Very bouncy and fun stuff, got a load of wonky in it. I guess it would be easiest to compare this to SOPHIE's stuff. But yeah both of these releases I enjoyed a whole lot. _________________
I always enjoy The Magnetic Fields' stuff a lot, but I've never been hit emotionally by anything other than 69 Love Songs. Maybe someday I will, though sonically this was great, I just didn't connect with it.
It's like a janglier Velvets. Nice sounding, if a little monotonous and one-dimensional throughout the whole thing. But yeah, it's solid. _________________
