Passerby by Luluc

This album appears to have topped the top ten lists of both of NPR's main men (Robin Hilton and Bob Boilen). It appears on only one BEA chart (shout out to Saoirse).

First listen and it appears to be an elegant folk record worthy of praise.

Cloud Nothings at #4, a beautiful thing.

Wow. It makes me so happy to see my pals Hooray For Earth at #29. That album really deserved far far more attention than it got. Unfortunately they've gone the way of most of my favorite things in NYC and decided to call it quits a few weeks ago.

Racy by Hooray For Earth

If it sounds like the album cover, I'll be all over this! ๐Ÿ˜

edit: Hmmmm. Not what I was expecting - Ty Segall garage rock. Seems to beg the question, "What if Tears for Fears were a garage band?" Very interesting. I like it so far.

They were so good live. When they started it was all like pop music in drop D tuning.

I can totally see that. This is super catchy & fun. This would be kickass band to see on New Year's eve at a small club.

What's the minimum number of albums you need to listen to to get an adequate understanding of the year in music?
