I think 24 hours is fine. Looking back at this thread, if we made it any more often, the votes likely would have been dominated by about half a dozen users. As it stands, over 20 people cast votes, which is more in the spirit of the thing. Whatever you decide, I'd suggest putting these rules nearer the top of the post.

I think something in the range of 20-22 hours would be best. This prevents cheating the system and voting at 11:59 and midnight, and it avoids any potential problems that would arise from making it 24 hours (i.e., the time at which you're eligible to vote each day would keep getting pushed back each day, so if you have a regular sleep schedule you would potentially not be able to vote on one day). Then again, I don't see that particular issue having terribly drastic consequences, so 24 hours would probably be fine, too.

Of course it was playful nachosbob, I thought the situation was amusing. I misunderstood the definition of calendar day, especially since every other builder game we've done in the past has been based on 24 hour intervals which makes much more sense to me since we're all in different time zones it's a much easier way of staying accountable.
Also, surely it would be more fun if someone different picked the next round so we can share the wealth? Since obviously everyone would enjoy picking an album?

Yeah, I agree with Jhereko here. While the original post Jman did use "calendar day," a 24 hour period makes much more sense.
I also think that the current set up (of last post gets to pick) is pretty fair provided we don't have someone getting it multiple times in a row. In this case perhaps it's fair to let the user with the penultimate post chose?

I'm gonna set up a voting system based off of nominations, I set up that thread very soon. I feel like a jerk taking up the choices, so I'll have this one be chosen from a poll based off of things posted to the nomination thread, keep your eyes out for that thread in case their is something you want to see done in the builder, you can nominate it 😁

Just gonna do it based off of nominations that way it can represent what a majority of BEA wants to see, not just one user, that way we also avoid the risk of the last user not posting the album they want done, or choosing an obscure album that doesn't receive enough participation. Also with this we can avoid jerks like me always getting to choose. Full details will be put up in the nomination thread
